HOW TO: Make a Demo Without The Use of Console


Step #1

You have to bind the words "record" & "stop" first. There are 2 options to do this:

Through autoexec:

Open My Computer
Open Local Disk C: (default location)
Open Counter-Strike Source folder
Open cstrike folder
Open cfg folder
Then open autoexec using the notepad
Follow Step #2
Save

Through console in offline mode:

Start CSS in the start menu
Press ~ to enable the console
Follow Step #2
Quit


Step #2

Binding the keys

Type bind j "record player1" (You can bind any letters you want) ***
Type bind k "stop"


Step #3
(after demoing)

Rename the file to avoid overwriting:

Open cstrike folder
Rename the file "player1" to the real nick of the player to avoid confusion and overwriting.


To demo: Simply press the letter j for record and k for stop.

*** If you want to record more than 1 player per game,
then simply bind more keys and replace the word "player1" to "player2"
-for example:

bind o "record player2"
bind p "record player3"
